Ferrari has revealed the Ferrari CZ26, a unique one-off supercar created through its Special Projects programme in collaboration with an American client. Based on the Ferrari SF90 Stradale, the CZ26 combines the SF90’s extreme performance with an entirely bespoke design.
Ferrari has officially unveiled the CZ26 at Monterey, California, introducing one of its latest creations from the marque’s highly exclusive Special Projects programme.
Developed by the Ferrari Design Studio under the direction of Flavio Manzoni, the CZ26 was commissioned by a US client who worked closely with Ferrari throughout the development process. The result is a completely unique Ferrari that reinterprets the high-performance berlinetta concept with a minimalist, technical and highly distinctive design.
Unlike a new Ferrari production model, the CZ26 is a One-Off. Only a single example has been created.
Based on the Ferrari SF90 Stradale
Underneath its dramatically different bodywork, the CZ26 retains the technical foundation of the Ferrari SF90 Stradale.
The SF90’s plug-in hybrid architecture combines a 4.0-litre twin-turbocharged V8 with three electric motors. Ferrari says the CZ26 retains the SF90 Stradale’s technical specifications and performance characteristics.
The combustion engine produces 797 cv and 804 Nm of torque, while the electric powertrain contributes up to 162 kW. The 7.9-kWh battery provides an electric-only range of up to 25 km.
The result is a combined powertrain capable of pushing the CZ26 from 0–100 km/h in just 2.5 seconds and from 0–200 km/h in 6.7 seconds.
Top speed is 328 km/h.
A Completely New Ferrari Design
The most striking part of the CZ26 is its shape.
Ferrari’s designers created what the company describes as a central “capsule” surrounded by four muscular wheel-arch sections. From the front, the body appears to extend backwards as one continuous form before ending in a sharply truncated tail.
The front end is particularly distinctive. A full-width grille incorporates the lighting units, cooling openings, sensors and other technical components. The extremely slim lights almost disappear into the bodywork, giving the car a futuristic appearance.
At the rear, Ferrari has taken a similarly unconventional approach. The truncated tail is framed by slim, cantilevered taillights, while the large horizontal diffuser makes the car appear even wider.
Rather than hiding the aerodynamic hardware, Ferrari has incorporated it directly into the design.
Designed around a single idea

Aerodynamics played a major role
The CZ26 isn’t simply an SF90 wearing a new body.
Ferrari says the aerodynamic package was extensively reworked, with changes made to the cooling system, underbody, vortex generators and airflow management.
The front radiator arrangement was redesigned, while dedicated bypass ducts help improve cooling and front-axle downforce. An air-curtain system around the front bumper also helps manage airflow around the front wheels and reduce drag.
At the back, the car receives a large upper spoiler and a dedicated diffuser designed to increase downforce without compromising aerodynamic efficiency.
Ferrari has also redesigned the engine cover, adding dedicated vents to improve heat extraction from the engine compartment.
Silver, red and carbon fibre
The CZ26’s finish is just as distinctive as its shape.
The body is painted in Argento Veloce, an exclusive silver finish intended to give the surfaces a liquid appearance. Ferrari has contrasted the silver bodywork with Rosso Lampante red details and pigmented carbon-fibre elements.
The bespoke wheels combine a gloss-black finish with a shot-peened surface treatment, while titanium exhaust tips are left in their natural finish.
Inside, the same design philosophy continues.
The cabin uses black technical fabric, satin-finish carbon fibre and a special gloss carbon-fibre material woven with metallic filaments. Red details mirror the exterior, while the seats feature bespoke inserts produced using additive manufacturing.
An embroidered CZ26 logo completes the personalisation.
Inspired by 1970s Italian design
Despite its futuristic appearance, Ferrari says the CZ26 takes inspiration from Italian industrial design of the 1970s.
That influence can be seen in the emphasis on simple geometric forms and the way functional components have been incorporated into the overall shape.
The cooling intakes, lights, diffuser and carbon-fibre elements don’t appear to have been added as separate features. Instead, they form part of one continuous design language.
That gives the CZ26 a very different character from many modern supercars, which often rely on increasingly complicated aerodynamic shapes.
Built for one customer
The CZ26 is part of Ferrari’s Special Projects programme, which allows selected customers to commission a completely unique Ferrari.
The process starts with the customer’s idea and develops through close collaboration with Ferrari’s designers and engineers. Ferrari says a typical Special Projects car takes around two years to complete, from the initial concept through design, modelling and production.
In the case of the CZ26, the customer is an American Ferrari client whose identity has not been disclosed.
And that is ultimately what makes the car so interesting: there won’t be a CZ26 production run. This is a single Ferrari created for a single owner.
